Biography

Roll up! Roll up! One and all!

Lend your ears to Daniel Madill as he wields his lo-fi blend of psych-folk and blues. Sounds to get you moving your feet and thinking your brain.

Madill was a regular on the Dunedin music scene, performing as a soloist and fronting local bands The Peeling Room and The Painted Ocean before he upped sticks and moved to Christchurch 2014. He has shared the bill with the likes of The Tattle Tale Saints, The Eastern, Make Like A Tree and Shunkan.

With influences ranging from 60's Psychedelia to Chicago blues, Madill's songwriting contains absurdist wordplay filled with neoliberal nightmares. His songs will gently roll over you like a cool breeze on a summers day, but with enough edge to unsettle you out of your slumber.
